Job description
Planning:
• Maximizing merchandise sales using product selection, product design, product packaging, product pricing and product display that stimulate consumers to spend more.
• This includes disciplines in pricing and discounting, physical presentation of products and displays, and the decisions about which products should be presented to which customers at what time
• Range Planning and product mix which includes Product range width, Product Mix, Product Profitability analysis
• Assortment planning for New Store , Planogram
• Vendor Management and demand estimation
• Ensuring stock availability across stores
• Working out the Top Selling articles, High STR (Stock Turnover Ratio) and Low STR articles, enable to create liquidation plans and infuse buying plan where required.
• Assortment planning on the basis of the historical data and category analysis.
Data Analyst:
• Review the performance of category at micro level
• Identifying the Target Markets and exploring the opportunities present.
• Analysis of the product lifecycle for better control on product development.
• Understanding the growth pattern in both Micro as well as Macro level
• Calculation of Returns per sqft for effective assortment of stock at all the locations
• Maintaining the Inventory level by co-relating the current stock status and sales
• Analyzing past buying trends, sales records, price and quality of merchandise to determine value and yield
• Ensuring that the stock levels are at optimum level at DSC level as per the planned target and revising the estimations if not
• Markdowns of slow moving goods
Sales Orientation:
• To achieve Top-Line and Bottom-Line of the Business
• Proper pricing from store feed back as well as market study
• Responsible for stock availability at all stores across India
• Training Store staff about the features of products
• Responsible for creating offers during BIG days
