Responsible
for looking at general running of the department, maintaining standards,
ensuring compliance checks on pricing labels etc.
Ensure
achievement of sales targets which have been set for the department/s and
provide input in deciding the same.
Cascade department’s targets to each sales advisor and drive team to meet these
targets.
Continually monitor achievement of sales targets and suggest corrective
measures to the store manager
Provide clarity on department’s efficacy to team (SA) by communicating the
department, store performance.
Ensure optimal inventory management in the department/s by tracking the
availability of various SKUs depending upon their past incidence of sale.
Ensure minimization of shrinkage levels in the department(s).
Conduct training for sales advisors for minimization of shrinkage and
shoplifting and of product mishandling instances by customer or employee.
Foster the highest standards of customer service excellence within the team.
Assist Store/ ASM to adhere to all corporate guidelines and framework on
standard operating procedures, and directive on sales, service, cost, standards
and people.
Build a connect with the customers and understand customer needs
Manage customer relationships by making significant efforts for resolution of
their issues.
Ensure adherence to shopping standards by conducting periodic audits of the
department and taking corrective actions.
Track customer satisfaction
by soliciting feedback to evaluate and improvise upon the current service
levels in the department with approvals from the Store Manager
Assist
in cashier training and providing support when required during trading - with
voiding, cancellations, exchange etc.
Ensure that visual merchandising guidelines are adhered to and standards are
maintained in the department(s) and provide inputs to the store visual
merchandiser on the same.
Execute operational procedures effectively like filling checklists about - VM,
operations and reporting each day’s sales.
Physically audit department(s) for achievement of standards with respect to
sales floor, fitting rooms, cash counters, housekeeping, etc.
Assist in maintaining superior product quality by identifying product issues
and communicating the same to the line manager.
Ensure adequate learning and development of the team through on-the-job
training, VM training, product training, etc.
Ensure clarity of roles by dividing responsibilities between team members.
Develop team members by providing timely and constructive feedback to help team
members identify their strengths and weaknesses.
Motivate team members to drive sales and process adherence.
Provide inputs to the store manager for performance appraisals of the sales
advisors.
