· Ensure
alignment of Range buying to sales trends and projections for every season;
achieve the sell through and gross margin targets set for the brands /
category.
Conduct market visits (own stores & competitors); analyze performance of various products and forecast the market trends.
Compare
the above inputs against store profiles and capacities to identify through put
options for a given space.
Provide
inputs to International product and design team on the season's requirements.
Range
buying at Home country of the brand based on open to buy (OTB), quantity &
value for a season as well as the product mix determined based on consumer and
market analysis.
Conduct
sell-through analysis to assess performance of different type of stocks or in
specific stores as required and to drive corrective action.
Plan
for promotions in dull seasons in terms of additional stock required,
contribution to front line training etc.
Anchor
End of Season sales based on analysis of carry forward stocks. Also explore
liquidation options based on scope for ordering in the next season without pile
up of inventory.
Strive
to achieve sell through target after EOSS.
Provide
direction for segments, establishing clear goals, strategies and initiatives
and driving the necessary changes to ensure achievement of divisional financial
and non-financial metrics.
Translate Global market trends and customer needs into actionable goals creating competitive advantage by offering product specific solutions

Work
with current & prospective customers to identify unmet needs, implement
initiatives to meet those needs, leading to successful sales.
Provide
creative trim design services across various product lines viz. Shirts /
trousers / Jackets etc. to elevate the brand and enhance performance.
Define
the value proposition to the market, customers and industry including service,
price and product platform strategies.
Develop
and execute appropriate business plans/multi-generation product plans to
identify trends, opportunities for marketplace advantage, and new ideas for
products, processes and services.
Oversee
staff to ensure they are proactively identifying new accounts using screening techniques,
referrals, and prospecting to potential customers.
Prepare
and manage sales, margin, and expense budgets.
Liaise
with International teams to follow best practices in tune with latest global
developments.
Target
Deployment by category / territory / store & daily monitoring of
performance parameters of SPF/MPF and qualitative aspects for achieving
business numbers.
Business & product strategy formulation and Implementation.
Interdepartmental
coordination across VM, Marketing for timely promotion and new product
launches.
Timely
travel for retail standard audits.
Strategic, Buying, Design & Sourcing: Apparel

Formulate
long term strategy for the merchandise Range Vis-�-vis competition.
Prepare
store planogram in line with the seasonal range & buying plan.
Manage
National & International brands with inputs on range planning &
merchandise selection. Delivery planning and promotion to ensure target
achievements.
Conceptualize
& ideate the design process for desired aesthetics of the private label
product ranges.
Heading
a team of Designers / Production, Sourcing & QA's to develop Range plan and
coordinate for timely deliveries.
Specialty
in Vendor development, negotiations and coordination, functional evaluation,
sourcing & distribution strategy, and quality control initiative.
International
sourcing from China / Thailand to offer distinct products at competitive
prices.
Overall
responsibility for desired intake margins for all the product categories.
