To support the Corporate Training and Development manager to establish and deliver training and
development strategy and targeted learning and development solutions for the Retail that are in line
with
the business plan and will support and drive commercial success of the business area
Key Accountabilities:
· Support the Corporate Training Manager to identify competencies gaps of workforce in the business area by successfully deploying the competency mapping
Develop /Modify/ alter content of Training programmes
Develop /Modify/ alter content of Training programmes
· Conduct a training need analysis and identification and identify the training and development
needs within business area
· Support the designing and developing training and development programs based on both the business area and the individual’s needs.
· Working in a team to produce programs that are satisfactory to all stakeholders in an
organization
· Successfully implement training programs by ensuring:
§
Ensuring that statutory training requirements are met
§ Make annual monthly, quarterly training plan etc and releasing the calendar
to business well in advance
§
Amending and revising programs as necessary, in order to adapt to the changes that occur in the work environment with approvals from Corporate L&D
§ Organizing training resources as approved.
§
Helping line managers and trainers to solve specific training
problems, either
problems, either
on a one- to-one basis or in groups.
§ Train instructors and supervisors in techniques and skills for training and
dealing with employees.
· Support and ensure the Knowledge management by keeping training materials up to date
,organizing the using of
standardized training materials in company (also include e-learning).
· Conduct appraisal of training effectiveness by evaluating training and development programs
as
per the given guidelines.
· Manage the business area training budget as per plan by : Considering the costs of planned
programs and keeping within budgets and assessing the return on investment (ROI) of any training or development program
· Periodically conduct the workforce competency appraisals to support required retail business plans for the business area
· Partner with HRBP to make recommendations for improvement to existing learning solutions to ensure they move in line with the outside market.
· Liaise with HR recruitment regarding any issues arising around course scheduling and work closely with them to ensure delivery.
· Partner with line managers to provide advice and guidance on the development of individuals
·
Act as point of reference and provide expert advice to employees and colleagues with regard
to
training course delivery
·
Achieve a high level of satisfaction for business area based on timely delivery of effective and
practical learning solutions through effective evaluation methodology
·
Report on the suitable metrics which shows a value add by the learning and development
function for the business area
· Deliver training programs as per requirement
· Conduct orientation seasons and arrange on-the-job training for new hires
·
Support region in new store opening by ensuring the new joiners are fully trained and meet
the desired standard before they are put on the floor
Others
· Ensure that personal behavior reflects the vision and values of the business
· Meet and agree performance targets and ways of working
· Any other works assigned for business
