Job Description:

  • Preparation and sending of Bank Advises for clearing Trade Documents from Banks
  • Preparation and sending of  Letter of Credits (LCs) (new application and amendment) as per request received from Admin Teams
  • Updating the Invoice Details in ETA sheet for all the Trade documents.
  • Updating the LC information and maintaining the remaining LC balance in LC master sheet
  • Liaison with Banks on daily basis for timely release of Trade Documents and LCs
  • Coordinating with Logistics SPCO for missing invoice details and GRNs (material inward documents) in financial module
  • Tracking of Trade documents from AWB numbers to chase advises from Banks
  • Updating the CIL (clean import loan) sheet on daily basis to capture running import loan balance
  • Checking of invoices received from banks to reconcile with ETA data, handing over the trade documents to logistics and releasing the invoices in LMS on daily basis 
  • Coordinating with countries teams to release Trade documents received under respective banks’ facilities
  • Coordinating with Admin teams for issues (if any) in Trade Documents received in banks
  • Month end activities – preparation of bank charges and Bank Provisions of CIL
  • Any other job assigned by reporting manager/ function head from time to time.

Target candidate and required skill set:

-          Good English verbal communication skill- Need to communicate with Bank, Internal department, countries spoc.
-          Good English written skill- Need to communicate with Bank, Internal department, countries spoc.
-          Knowledge for documents and process for imports and Incoterms Incoterms are a standard set of terminology, created by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), used universally, defining the key parts of freight forwarding).
-          Relevant skill set for handling import documents and Letter of Credits (LCs) and bank coordination for payment follow-ups.
-          Candidate to have experience of handling 30-50 documents in a day.

Target experience and expected remuneration:

CA Inter (with exposure of large companies audit experience, who has import of more than USD 150K OR AED 560K or INR 10.5 Mn


1.5- 2 years relevant experience with company which has import of more than more than USD 150K OR AED 560K or INR 10.5 Mn.

Without experience candidate with theoretical knowledge and excellent communication skill





Target Industry to search candidate (only suggestion and can be looked outside below industry also)

-          Edible Oils Refineries and trading companies, which are primarily based out of Mumbai (JNPT), Kandla (Guj), Krishnapatna Port (AP), Manglore (Karnataka), etc. https://seaofindia.com/all-members/ordinary-members/
-          Automobile Industry, including joint venture companies of Maruti, Honda, etc.
-          Heavy machinery import companies, etc.

Company should have turnover above more than USD 150K OR AED 560K or INR 10.5 Mn
