Job Purpose

To ensure timely, consistent and process efficient movement of products from suppliers and manufacturers from right through to stores at optimum costs and technological Integration and lead and direct strategic planning for supply chain and optimizing customer service delivery through in­store stock availability against cost of the supply chain

 

 

Key Accountabilites

Strategic

 

Implement the defined supply chain guidelines, policies, and processes and also contribute to improvements and enhancements to the strategy

Financial

 

Drive development / delivery of budgets and forecast updates, sales recognition process & gap analysis Support finance in building budget delivery and forecasts track risks vs. budget

Operational

 

Manage warehouse and logistics activities in order to maintain continuous customer service

Coordinate logistics for product distribution, maintain relations with logistic service providers and monitor transport providers performance against supply logistic agreements

Provide full customer service not only to external customers but also internally to factory, brand teams, and commercial sourcing

Coordinate the implementation of the defined supply chain strategy in cooperation with central

distribution center heads, head of merchandise, planning and allocation and other stakeholders for achieving: Warehouse space and investments for the near future

On the target throughout (e.g. manual vs. semi­automated vs. automated solution)

Define service level (internal and from logistics companies) to support the various merchandise flow process

 

Work closely with all supply chain partners, internal stakeholders, customs and other governmental agencies to define service levels (internal and from logistics companies) to support the various merchandise flow process

Manage the supply chain outsourcing function by ensuring the related resources are procured, converted into finished products and supplied to the customers, to the required service standards in the most efficient and cost effective manner Collaborate with warehouse operations, stock distribution, and logistics and agree on targets for each department:

Ensure the high level of throughout, avoiding clogging at warehouses

Ensure proper flow of products from central distribution center to stores and vice versa Plan deliveries and manage lead times to support the replenishment strategy Enhance communication and coordination between the different departments

Seek continuous improvements in logistics both inbound from suppliers to distribution centers and outbound to regional distribution centers & stores to reduce cost and time taken

Ensure Direct Stores Delivery (DSD) module effectively implemented Assist in the set­up of new distribution centers both at corporate & KSA

Stock distribution:

Create and keep up­to­date roadmap for next 5 years

Identify process changes and best fit in technology investments Provide Support in review and evaluation of the overall supply chain budget:

Monitor and control warehouse costs and adherence to budgeted amounts Monitor and review logistics costs

Work closely with merchandise team:

To understand planned goods inflows and outflows through the distribution centers and on to stores Analyze, suggest and facilitate improvements in factory operating margins, wastages and fixed cost management Initiate and lead projects to continuously improve customer service and reduce supply chain total cost

Establish clear direction, prioritize tasks, assigns and delegate responsibility and monitor the workflow of the department/ section/ unit

Ensure effective coordination between all the team members in the supply chain and also between corporate and countries

Build opportunities for staff to suggest, participate in and contribute to improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing initiatives

Ensures proper target setting and staff performance management in line with BMA’s performance management guidelines

Qualification and Experience

Education and Certification

 

Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related with previous exposure to Supply Chain and Logistics

 

Knowledge and Skills

 

Excellent Microsoft Office skills and advanced Excel skills are necessary Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills

Strong time­management skills and ability to adhere to month­end close timelines Fluency in written and verbal English and Arabic preferred

Experience

 

6+ years’ experience in supply chain management required of which at least 2 years’ experience in managerial position Experience in Facilities and/or Project Management a definite plus

Exposure to MRP/ ERP or other planning software
